Bending Spoons logo

Growth manager

Bending Spoons

Oxford, England, UK

At Bending Spoons, we’re striving to build one of the all\-time great companies. A company that serves a huge number of customers. A company where team members grow to their full potential. A company that functions at unparalleled levels of effectiveness and efficiency. A company that creates value for shareowners at an extraordinary rate. And a company that does so while adhering to high ethical standards. In pursuit of this objective, we acquire and improve digital businesses, not to sell on, but to own and operate for the long term. The transformations we make are often deep—designed to speed up innovation, benefit customers, and strengthen business performance. Here, hierarchy is minimal and teams are small and talent\-dense. We operate established products with the ambition, agility, and urgency of a startup. Across the company, we integrate AI deeply into how we work so that human judgment and machine intelligence reinforce each other. For a talented, driven, and collaborative individual, working at Bending Spoons is an opportunity to learn, make an impact, and progress their career at an exceptionally high rate. That’s our promise to such a candidate. **A few examples of your responsibilities** * **Understand.** Build deep knowledge of your product, its business model, and the key levers driving growth. * **Analyze.** Use AI, automation, and advanced analytics to explore high\-performing campaigns, identify patterns in user and product data, and generate actionable insights. * **Ideate.** Turn insights, experiment results, competitor research, and AI\-assisted exploration into hypotheses and identify opportunities to improve growth and monetization. * **Test.** Design and run rigorous experiments with real users, partnering closely with designers, engineers, and analysts to bring ideas to life and iterate quickly based on results. * **Scale.** Roll out winning ideas broadly, and use learnings from each experiment to shape the next cycle of discovery and testing. **What we look for** * **Reasoning ability.** Given the necessary knowledge, you can solve complex problems. You think from first principles, and structure your ideas sharply. You resist the influence of biases. You identify and take care of the details that matter. * **Drive.** You’re extremely ambitious in everything you do—and your initiative, effort, and tenacity match the intensity of your ambition. You feel deeply responsible for your work. You hold yourself to a high—and rising—bar. * **Team spirit.** You give generously and without the expectation of receiving in return. You support the best idea, not your idea. You're always happy to get your hands dirty to help your team. You’re reliable, honest, and transparent. * **Proficiency in English.** You read, write, and speak proficiently in English. **What we offer** * **Incredibly talented, entrepreneurial teams.** You’ll work in small, result\-oriented, autonomous teams alongside some of the brightest people in your field. * **An exceptional opportunity for growth.** We go to great lengths to hire individuals of outstanding potential—then, our priority is to put them in the ideal position to thrive. Spooners in their 20s lead products worth hundreds of millions of dollars. And if you’ve got what it takes, you’ll soon be playing an essential role in major projects, too. * **All. These. Benefits.** Flexible hours, remote working, unlimited backing for learning and training, top\-of\-the\-market health insurance, a rich relocation package, generous parental support, and a yearly retreat to a stunning location. We help each Spooner set up the conditions to do their best work. * **Competitive pay and access to company equity at a discount.** Typical annual salary offers range from £85,797 to £151,436 in London and from €66,065 to €107,837 elsewhere in Europe. The lower end of these ranges applies to candidates with little or no relevant experience, while exceptionally experienced candidates may receive offers of up to £316,052 in London or €240,330 elsewhere in Europe. Candidates offered a permanent contract may choose to receive part of their compensation in discounted company equity. **Commitment \& contract** Permanent or fixed\-term. Full\-time or part\-time. **Location** Milan (Italy), London (UK), Madrid (Spain), Warsaw (Poland), or fully remote from eligible countries. **The selection process** In our screening process, we prioritize verifiable signals of excellence, regardless of seniority. There are no preferential paths beyond what your application demonstrates, and we evaluate every candidate through the same process. Some people hold back because they feel they lack experience or have an “imperfect” CV. If you like the role and believe you could excel over time, don’t self\-reject. All applications go through our careers page, which is the only way to be considered. If you pass our screening, you’ll be asked to complete one or more tests. They are challenging, may involve unfamiliar problems, and can take several hours. To learn more about what to expect throughout the selection process, you can find additional information here. We set the bar high and won’t extend an offer until we’re confident we’ve found the right candidate. This is why a job may remain open for months or be reposted several times. We consider all applicants for employment and provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities—please let us know through this form. **Before you apply** If you’ve applied before but didn't receive an offer, we recommend waiting at least one year before applying again. Bending Spoons is a demanding environment. We’re extremely ambitious and we hold ourselves—and one another—to a high standard. While this tends to lead to extraordinary learning, achievement, and career growth, it also requires significant commitment. To help you ramp up quickly and set yourself up for success, we expect you to spend most days in our Milan office during your first few months with us, regardless of your long\-term work location. It’s the best way to rapidly absorb our company culture and build trust with your new teammates. We’ll support you with generous travel and accommodation assistance. After that, you’re welcome to work from one of our offices, or remotely from approved countries—depending on what we agree at the offer stage. If the role speaks to you and you’re excited to give your best, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now—we can’t wait to meet you.

1FIT logo

Performance Marketing Manager

1FIT

Cuffley, England, UK

**The Role Details** * £45,000–£55,000 * Hybrid, 2\-3 days in south east Hertfordshire office. **About 1FIT** 1FIT is the coaching platform for the best coaches in the industry. We build software for online health and fitness coaches, personal trainers and hybrid coaches. We're bootstrapped and profitable at meaningful scale, and we've got here on product quality and word of mouth. Around 5,000 coaches use 1FIT to look after roughly 150,000 clients but there is a huge opportunity to accelerate with the right marketing team. Paid acquisition is the obvious next lever and nobody to date has pulled it as effectively as it can be. **The role** You own paid acquisition end to end and report directly to the founder. Current spend is under £5k a month, and that's the honest starting point rather than the ceiling. **The budget is uncapped as long as the return holds** . Your job is to prove the channel works, then scale it as far as the numbers let you. There's no legacy account structure to inherit, no agency to manage around and no attribution mess to untangle, you're building it. You won't be starved of creative, which is usually the thing that kills paid at this stage. We're hiring a Content Producer alongside you who shoots and edits short form video full time. Organic is our testing ground: they publish, we see what earns attention, and you put budget behind what's already proven. You'll brief paid specific variants directly and get them back in days, not weeks. This is hands on. If you're looking to set direction while someone else sits in Ads Manager, this isn't the role for you. If it goes well, there's a route to owning marketing strategy here, but that's earned rather than promised. **What you'll do** * Own Meta and Google end to end. Account structure, targeting, creative testing, budget allocation. * Set measurement up properly from the start. Conversion tracking, server side events, attribution you can defend in a room. * Report on CAC, trial to paid conversion, payback period and LTV to CAC. Not impressions. * Run a disciplined creative testing programme with the Content Producer, using organic performance to decide what is worth spending against. * Improve what happens after the click. Landing pages, signup flow, trial activation. * Make the case to scale with numbers, and scale when it holds. * Open new channels once the core two are working, whether that's YouTube, Reddit, affiliates or wherever the coaches actually are. **What we're looking for** * 3 to 5 years in paid acquisition with real responsibility for a budget and its return * Analytically honest. You'll tell the founder a channel isn't working rather than reframe the dashboard, that's the **most important thing** on this list. * Deep hands on Meta and Google. You've built accounts, not just optimised inherited ones. * Fluent in GA4, conversion APIs and the realities of post iOS14 attribution * Comfortable with subscription economics. Cohorts, churn, payback, contribution margin. * Strong creative judgement. You know creative is the biggest lever in paid and you brief accordingly. * Happy operating without a marketing team around you. It's you, a content producer, and a founder who'll give you a fast answer. **Nice to have** * B2B SaaS or self serve subscription experience * Marketing to small businesses, solo operators or the self employed * Fitness, health or wellness sector background * SQL, or the ability to get your own numbers out without waiting on anyone * Lifecycle and email experience alongside paid **The Perks** * Discretionary annual bonus based on company performance. * Pension matched up to 5%. * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. * Media budget uncapped subject to demonstrated return * A dedicated content producer feeding you tested creative * Direct line to the founder. Decisions same day, not next quarter. * Full ownership of a channel from a standing start, in a profitable business that is using paid to accelerate even faster, rather than to break even. **To apply** Send a CV and a short note on a paid account you built or turned around. What the numbers looked like when you arrived, what you changed, and where they ended up. Please send that to jobs@1fit.com.

Future CEOs / General Managers – AI-powered Software

Circeus

London Area, United Kingdom

**Reports to:** Group COO **Location:** London (hybrid) **Seniority bar:** \+ 5 years **About Circeus** Circeus is an AI\-native holding that acquires and scales mission\-critical B2B software businesses globally. We have raised $220m\+ from leading global institutional investors and serve 200,000\+ businesses across diverse verticals, focusing on high\-retention, deeply embedded software. We acquire high\-quality SaaS companies and accelerate their growth through a centralised AI platform, driving both revenue expansion and operational efficiency. We operate as long\-term owners, continuously improving products through applied AI. **The Role** We are building a bench of operators to run the software businesses we acquire. You will take full ownership of a portfolio company or business unit: its P\&L, its team, its product direction and its trajectory over the next decade rather than the next quarter. The mandate is to make an already profitable, deeply embedded software business materially better. That means rebuilding workflows around AI, fixing pricing, raising retention, sharpening go\-to\-market, and deciding where to invest and where to stop. You will use our central AI platform to move products from systems of record into systems of action. You will report into portfolio leadership and work alongside our central AI, M\&A and value creation teams. Depending on your background, you may start in a General Manager or number\-two seat before taking a full CEO remit, or step directly into one. It suits people who would rather own the outcome than advise on it: former founders, operators who have carried a P\&L, or high\-performers from investing or consulting who want to stop making recommendations and start making decisions. **What You'll Do** * Own the P\&L of a software business, from revenue growth through to margin and cash * Set strategy and the operating plan, then hold the organisation to it * Rebuild core product and internal workflows around AI, with measurable results * Recruit, develop and, where needed, restructure the leadership team beneath you * Drive pricing, packaging and retention decisions using real customer and cohort data * Work with the central AI team to deploy platform capability into your product * Report performance clearly and honestly to portfolio leadership and investors * Lead integration of bolt\-on acquisitions into your business * Build the reporting and operating cadence that makes the business legible and fast **What We're Looking For** * Track record of owning commercial outcomes: a P\&L, a business unit, or a company you founded * Experience in B2B software or SaaS, with genuine understanding of recurring\-revenue mechanics * Demonstrated ability to hire, lead and hold a standard across a full team * Fluency with AI tooling in your own work, and a clear view on where it changes a software business * Comfort with incomplete information and decisions that cannot be deferred * Analytical rigour: you can build the model, not just read it * Clear, direct communication with customers, teams and investors alike * Willingness to travel and to be based where the business needs you **Nice to Have** * Founder or early\-employee experience at a software company you helped scale * Prior turnaround, carve\-out or post\-acquisition transformation experience * Background in private equity, growth equity or strategy consulting before operating * Experience shipping AI\-native product into a live customer base * Additional languages, particularly Italian or Bosnian, Croatian or Serbian **Why Circeus** * Run a real business with real customers and real revenue, not a project * Exposure to a portfolio of software businesses rather than a single product * AI applied to real commercial problems, with impact you can measure * Direct collaboration with our central AI team * Long\-term ownership horizon, with capital and patience behind the plan * Competitive compensation tied to the value you create
