Investment Associate

The Role

The infrastructure investor is hiring an Investment Associate to join its Infrastructure Investments team in London. The team invests across Europe in businesses and assets linked to the energy transition and digital economy, with a focus on renewable energy, energy-transition infrastructure and digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate new investment opportunities across the European infrastructure market.
• Build and review financial models covering valuation, financing, operational and returns analysis.
• Conduct commercial, financial, operational and ESG analysis of prospective investments.
• Prepare investment committee papers, presentations and transaction documentation.
• Coordinate due diligence processes across financial, commercial, legal, technical, tax and ESG workstreams.
• Work with external advisers including investment banks, consultants, lawyers, lenders and technical specialists.
• Support transaction structuring, financing negotiations and review of legal documentation.
• Conduct market, sector and company research to identify investment themes and potential opportunities.
• Support monitoring and development of portfolio companies, including budgeting, performance analysis and value-creation initiatives.
• Develop relationships with management teams, industry participants, advisers and other stakeholders.
• Support junior team members and contribute to internal processes and investment materials.

Skills &​ Experience

• Approximately three to five years of relevant experience in infrastructure private equity, investment banking, project finance, corporate finance or a related investment environment.
• Transaction experience involving infrastructure, energy, utilities, transport, telecommunications or other real assets.
• Advanced financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.
• Experience managing or supporting complex due diligence and transaction processes.
• Strong commercial judgement with the ability to assess investment risks and value-creation opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of investment materials.
• Strong academic background from a leading university.
• Fluency in English required; additional European language skills advantageous.

• Water, waste management and circular-economy infrastructure.
• Infrastructure-related services and asset-backed business models.
