Applications are invited for the above post based in the University of Nottingham Research &​ Innovation (R&​I) department, Nottingham. The University of Nottingham is a research-driven institution with a leading international profile. Research &​ Innovation provides support, advice and guidance to the University’s research community. It also facilitates interaction between academics, research sponsors, and with business, regional and wider communities.

The post holder will work as part of a busy team providing effective and efficient research support for externally funded research through the delivery of high quality post award management services across the University. The role holders will operate as a business partners, working closely with other professional service teams and school/faculty research administrative support as well as directly with academics and other stakeholders, to ensure robust and effective financial management of our research and research related portfolio. The post sits within the R&​I Post Award team, within Research Operations, part of Research &​ Innovation.

The successful candidate should be HNC/HND (or equivalent qualification) and/or membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or have relevant financial experience or research admin experience demonstrating adhering to terms and conditions relating to external funders or financial regulations or other experience of following regulations that could be relevant .

You will demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving capability that enables you to manipulate figures and data with ease. You will demonstrate the ability to work in a methodical and organised manner with attention to detail, with a high volume of projects to manage. The requirement to be flexible where there are conflicting priorities and also take personal responsibility for owning and resolving issues is key for the role.
