Clinical Research Associate (CRA II)
Location: Remote, Scotland
Travel: Study dependent, typically 6-12 visits per month. DCT studies may require little to no on-site monitoring.
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
BioTalent is supporting a growing CRO in the search for an experienced Clinical Research Associate to join its Clinical Operations team.
Working across a mix of traditional, hybrid and decentralised clinical trials, you'll be responsible for managing investigator sites, building strong site relationships and ensuring studies are delivered to the highest quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CRA looking for broad study exposure, a collaborative team environment and the flexibility of a remote-based role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Site Selection, Site Initiation, Monitoring and Close-Out Visits
- Perform remote monitoring activities where required
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned study sites
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investigators and site staff
- Ensure compliance with study protocols, ICH-GCP and regulatory requirements
- Review source documents and verify data quality and integrity
- Identify site issues and risks, implementing appropriate corrective actions
- Support site training, engagement and study performance
- Monitor patient recruitment, retention and protocol compliance
- Complete monitoring reports and follow-up documentation within required timelines
- Collaborate closely with Clinical Operations, Project Management and sponsor teams
- Maintain accurate study documentation within CTMS and eTMF systems
Requirements
- 3+ years' independent monitoring experience as a CRA within a CRO, biotech or pharmaceutical organisation
- Experience independently conducting SIVs, Routine Monitoring Visits and Close-Out Visits
- Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP and clinical trial regulations
- Experience managing multiple sites and studies simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Full right to work in the UK
- Willingness to travel as required
Desirable
- Experience within decentralised (DCT) and hybrid clinical trials
- Exposure to biotech-sponsored studies
- Experience using CTMS, eTMF and remote monitoring platforms
- Broad therapeutic area experience
We're looking for a proactive, relationship-driven CRA who enjoys working closely with sites, takes ownership of their studies and can operate effectively in a remote environment.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and contributing to the successful delivery of innovative clinical trials across a diverse study portfolio.
