Technical Implementation &​ Support Specialist - Medical Diagnostics

The Opportunity

IT Works Health is working with an established global healthcare technology organisation to identify a Technical Implementation &​ Support Specialist to support customers across the full lifecycle of specialist diagnostic laboratory solutions .

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who combines IT and technical expertise with a strong understanding of medical diagnostics, laboratory testing equipment and associated software .

You will work across both hardware and software , supporting solution design, installation, configuration, implementation and ongoing technical support. The role is highly customer-facing, acting as a trusted technical advisor and helping customers maximise the value and performance of their diagnostic technology.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting customers throughout the full lifecycle of laboratory and diagnostic technology solutions .
  • Contributing to solution design, installation, configuration and implementation activities.
  • Providing

remote and on-site technical and application support .

  • Troubleshooting complex hardware, software, networking and system issues.
  • Working with

laboratory testing equipment, diagnostic systems and associated software .

  • Coordinating activities across technical, commercial, clinical and customer teams.
  • Supporting implementation projects and ensuring solutions are delivered effectively.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve

system performance, processes and customer experience .

  • Contributing ideas to technology roadmaps and future service development.
  • Producing and working with

technical and scientific documentation .

  • Managing multiple customer requirements and projects simultaneously.
  • Explaining complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in people who bring a combination of technical IT capability and medical diagnostics/laboratory experience .

You may have worked within:

  • Medical diagnostics
  • Laboratory testing
  • Laboratory automation
  • Diagnostic instrumentation
  • Laboratory IT / informatics
  • Clinical or scientific software
  • Medical technology
  • Healthcare technology

You should also have experience with:

  • IT troubleshooting and remote support
  • Hardware and software implementation
  • Networking
  • Customer-facing technical support
  • IT implementation projects
  • Cross-functional project coordination
  • Process improvement
  • Technical/scientific documentation
  • Data protection and information security principles

Most importantly, you'll be comfortable working with customers, technology and laboratory environments , and able to translate complex technical issues into clear, practical solutions.

The Person

We're looking for someone who is technically curious, customer-focused and commercially aware , with the confidence to work independently while collaborating with wider technical and customer teams.

You'll be someone who enjoys solving problems, understands the importance of reliable diagnostic technology and wants to play a role in improving how healthcare organisations use technology to deliver better outcomes.
