Our client is looking for an experienced Health &​ Safety Manager to take ownership of Health &​ Safety across their organisation.This is a charitable organisation located in the North Down area where you will be based at a large single site.

Your new role

Our client is seeking an experienced Health &​ Safety Manager to join their estates management division on a temporary basis. The role will be responsible for leading the organisation's health and safety function across a large diverse single site. Whilst initially offered on a temporary basis, there is a long-term requirement for this position and the successful candidate may have the opportunity to be considered for future permanent opportunities. Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing Health &​ Safety policies and procedures
• Leading risk assessment and risk management activities
• Investigating incidents and monitoring corrective actions
• Ensuring compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements
• Managing audits, inspections and regulatory visits
• Developing emergency response and business continuity plans
• Delivering Health &​ Safety training and awareness initiatives
• Providing expert advice to managers and staff

What you'll need to succeed

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

• Degree in Occupational Health &​ Safety, Environmental Science or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years' Health &​ Safety experience
• Experience leading teams
• Strong knowledge of Health &​ Safety legislation
• Full driving licence and access to transport

What you'll get in return

Salary £41,200 / £19.82 per hour

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

40 days annual leave, 28 holidays and 12 stat days
