Our client is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of Health & Safety across their organisation.This is a charitable organisation located in the North Down area where you will be based at a large single site.
Your new role
Our client is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their estates management division on a temporary basis. The role will be responsible for leading the organisation's health and safety function across a large diverse single site. Whilst initially offered on a temporary basis, there is a long-term requirement for this position and the successful candidate may have the opportunity to be considered for future permanent opportunities. Applications are welcomed from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Leading risk assessment and risk management activities
- Investigating incidents and monitoring corrective actions
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements
- Managing audits, inspections and regulatory visits
- Developing emergency response and business continuity plans
- Delivering Health & Safety training and awareness initiatives
- Providing expert advice to managers and staff
What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' Health & Safety experience
- Experience leading teams
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- Full driving licence and access to transport
What you'll get in return
Salary £41,200 / £19.82 per hour
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
40 days annual leave, 28 holidays and 12 stat days
