Emerging Markets Equities, Senior Investment Professional

We are engaged exclusively by a top performing investment fund to identify Senior Investment Professional for their London team to join as a Portfolio Manager or Senior Analyst. The fund has built a strong and consistent track record over a sustained period, underpinned by a disciplined, research-intensive approach to emerging markets. This is a senior research seat with genuine influence over portfolio positioning.

The opportunity

• Join a fund with a strong and credible performance history, with an intellectually rigorous investment team coupled with growing AUM
• Work directly alongside senior portfolio managers, with meaningful input into idea generation, portfolio management and position sizing across the fund's EM equity book

Scope of the role

• Conduct deep fundamental and RV analysis across LATAM, CEEMEA and APAC emerging market equities developing detailed, independent views on company quality, capital allocation, and valuation
• Actively lead positioning sizing, risk management and trade execution for the EM equities book
• Identify and build the investment case for Long/Short equity opportunities, including under-researched and out-of-favour names where the market has mispriced underlying business quality or asset value
• Cover and assess event-driven situations, including corporate actions, restructurings, M&​A, spin-offs, and governance-related catalysts, with a clear view on timeline and risk-reward
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, incorporating company-specific, sector, and macro inputs relevant to LATAM and CEEMEA markets
• Engage directly with company management, sell-side contacts, and local market participants to inform and stress-test investment theses

Candidate profile

• Established track record as an equity portfolio manager or senior equity analyst covering LATAM and/or CEEMEA markets
• Demonstrable experience investing in deep value and event-driven equity situations, with a clear, articulable framework for how value is identified and underwritten
• Strong grounding in fundamental analysis, including detailed financial modelling, accounting scrutiny, and valuation across both corporates and SOEs
• Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and conviction, while engaging constructively with senior decision-makers on portfolio positioning
• Existing relationships across LATAM, CEEMEA and APAC corporates, advisors, or local market contacts viewed favourably
