Site Logistics Manager - Newcastle - £65,000 - £70,000 + Package

The Role

This Site Logistics Manager opportunity is with a fast-growing e-commerce fashion business based in Newcastle, operating within a high-volume, customer-focused distribution environment.

The business is looking for an experienced Site Logistics Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the distribution operation, ensuring exceptional service levels, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. You'll lead a large operational team, driving productivity, engagement and continuous improvement across the site while supporting the next phase of the business's growth.

Working closely with the wider Logistics distribution and supply chain function, you'll play a pivotal role in developing operational strategy, improving performance and delivering a best-in-class customer experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading the day-to-day warehouse and logistics operation, ensuring productivity, quality and service targets are consistently achieved
  • Managing and developing operational leadership teams to create a high-performing, customer-focused culture
  • Driving Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, accuracy and throughput
  • Managing labour planning, operational budgets and site performance against agreed KPIs
  • Working closely with transport and wider Logistics distribution and supply chain teams to ensure seamless end-to-end fulfilment
  • Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes, automation and operational flow
  • Ensuring the highest standards of Health &​ Safety, compliance and operational governance are maintained
  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders to support business growth and strategic objectives
  • Leading operational projects and change initiatives to enhance site capability and customer service

Key experience

  • Proven experience operating as a Site Logistics Manager, General Manager or Senior Operations Manager within e-commerce, retail distribution or high-volume warehousing
  • Experience leading large operational teams within fast-paced fulfilment environments
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, labour planning and operational performance management
  • Demonstrable success delivering Continuous Improvement and operational change initiatives
  • Commercially minded with the ability to balance service, cost and productivity
  • Experience operating within a Logistics distribution and supply chain environment
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Passion for developing people and creating high-performing operational cultures
