eCARE Development Manager Department IT Band 8a Hours: 37.5 hrs per week, all MKUH roles may be considered for flexible working The IT Department at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a dynamic, ever‑developing, forward‑thinking group of people that make up a team that strives to keep the Trust’s systems up to date and responsive to cutting edge technologies, whilst ensuring staff at the Trust are supported to continue to deliver at the highest level.
We currently have an opening for an eCARE (EPR) Development Manager, focusing on the development of the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system called eCARE (Oracle Cerner Millennium).
The successful post holder will have experience working in a healthcare environment, including the support of staff and direct hands-on experience in the development of Oracle Cerner Millennium solutions; they will be at the level of an Oracle Cerner “Integration Architect” or have equivalent experience.

''NHS Survey, 2024'' The aim of this role is to define and manage the technical framework used by the eCARE and Back Office teams on an on-going basis.
Responsible for the provision of expert level IT and eCARE technical and development services to the Trust.
Specify, develop and maintain eCARE, requiring the use of expert level techniques and expert knowledge of the programming tools available.
Ensure that a consistent and quality eCARE technical support service is provided to all users, this may require the identification and resolution of highly complex problems.
Create and agree system specifications with Trust staff when necessary. Manage staff and their workloads on an on-going basis. Guide, instruct and mentor all members of the eCARE Development team.
