Job Description This is a key role to support the implementation of the CEO's vision for organisation and wider work to advise ministers on national priorities. You will work closely with the Grade 6 and Grade 7s in the team, leading work across NISTA to coordinate and deliver. Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Build HM Treasury connections and work with colleagues in NISTA to ensure joined up support to the CEO and ministers
  • Coordinate across NISTA to bring together a coherent view to input into HMT implementation planning
  • Support on monitoring of progress and implementation of NISTA of Project Reset priorities
  • Lead and support shaping the wider thinking about the strategic priorities of NISTA, including working closely with the CEO
  • Support NISTA representation at cabinet committees.

Responsibilities may need to be flexed in future depending on business need

  • Essential Skills and Behaviours:
  • Proven ability to deliver at pace, working autonomously and proactively to meet priorities under pressure.
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse complex information and use data and insights to inform recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal, with experience engaging senior leaders and a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience and Knowledge:
  • Experience working in policy, strategy, or governance roles, ideally within government or a similar complex environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across teams and functions to deliver coherent advice and support to senior leaders.
  • Familiarity with monitoring progress on strategic priorities and supporting the implementation of organisational reforms.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Collaborative and adaptable, able to work effectively in a small, central team and flex responsibilities as business needs evolve.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
