This role is with one of Dex's trusted partner companies. We work closely with their teams to truly understand their culture, goals, and what they're looking for, so we can match you with the right opportunity and give you context about the role before you commit to a process.

The role This company builds the core infrastructure for diagnostic healthcare, making patient data from wearables and lab tests accessible, automated, and actionable at API level. They already stream millions of data points per second and process millions of lab tests annually across the US, with ambitious growth targets for the coming years. They're profitable and backed by leading investors, with significant traction in a critical market.

You'll join a small, rapidly scaling engineering team, owning end-to-end product development across two critical verticals: wearables and lab testing. This isn't just about writing code; it's about shaping customer-facing dashboards, building diagnostic APIs, and translating complex medical information into intuitive interfaces. You'll speak directly with users, iterate based on real-world data, and navigate the unique constraints of healthcare. This role demands strong product instincts applied with discipline, not a "move fast and break things" mentality.

The work

  • Design, build, and ship full-stack features end-to-end, from initial spec to production, for both customer-facing products and core diagnostic APIs.
  • Translate complex medical information and domain constraints into intuitive, actionable interfaces for patients and clinicians.
  • Engage directly with healthcare customers, gather feedback, and use usage data to drive product iteration and define roadmaps.
  • Operate and scale cloud infrastructure (GCP or equivalent) handling millions of daily transactions from wearables and lab tests.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to navigate complex healthcare regulations and ensure patient safety and data integrity.

What You Bring

  • Senior-level product engineering experience at a startup, with a track record of owning and shipping full-stack features end-to-end, from shaping the problem to production.
  • Proficiency across a modern full-stack: TypeScript and Next.js on the frontend, Python or Go on the backend, and operating against cloud infrastructure (GCP or equivalent) at scale.
  • Ability to transform messy, underspecified problems involving complex domain rules or incomplete data into clear plans and delivered software.
  • A strong product sense, proactively seeking customer feedback and designing solutions that genuinely solve user problems, not just technically correct ones.
  • Demonstrable, specific interest in healthcare and its impact on patients' lives; this isn't a casual interest.
