Medical Education Grants Lead

Role Purpose

The Medical Education Grants Lead will lead the development, writing and submission of high-quality independent medical education grant applications across Radcliffe's Devices Business Unit.

Working closely with Partnership Directors, Scientific Services, faculty and commercial teams, you will transform educational needs and commercial opportunities into evidence-based educational programmes that secure funding from leading global medical device and healthcare organisations.

Combining scientific knowledge with exceptional medical writing skills, you will research clinical evidence, define educational strategies and produce compelling grant applications that meet sponsor requirements while maintaining the highest standards of educational independence.

This is a hybrid role requiring attendance at our office two days per week , alongside occasional international travel.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Development

• Lead the development of independent medical education grant applications from concept through to submission.
• Translate educational and commercial opportunities into robust, evidence-based funding proposals.
• Conduct literature reviews, educational needs assessments and guideline research.
• Develop learning objectives, programme structures and educational rationales.
• Tailor applications to sponsor-specific funding requirements.
• Maintain grant templates, evidence libraries and reusable content.
• Support post-award reporting and educational impact summaries.

Scientific &​ Medical Writing

• Produce high-quality scientific and medical writing for grant submissions.
• Present complex clinical evidence clearly and accurately.
• Ensure all content is balanced, evidence-based and educationally independent.
• Stay up to date with emerging evidence, clinical guidelines and best practice

Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with commercial, editorial and scientific teams.
• Collaborate with international Key Opinion Leaders to shape educational programmes.
• Support discussions with funding organisations where scientific input is required.
• Attend major international cardiovascular congresses (approximately 3–5 per year).

Knowledge

Essential

• Degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience in medical writing, scientific communications, medical education or grant development.
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular medicine.
• Strong organisational and project management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.

Desirable

• MSc, PharmD, PhD or equivalent.
• Experience securing educational grants within medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
• Knowledge of ACCME, EBAC, EFPIA and MedTech Europe funding frameworks.
• Experience across structural heart, electrophysiology, heart failure, interventional cardiology, vascular medicine or cardiovascular imaging.
