About Astoria Care Consultancy
Astoria Care Consultancy is one of the UK's leading specialist CQC registration consultancies, helping providers across England successfully register with the Care Quality Commission.
We support clients across both health and social care, providing expert guidance through every stage of the registration process—from initial applications and supporting documentation to interview preparation and post-registration support.
As demand for our services continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced regulatory professional to join our team in a senior role, helping us maintain the exceptional quality standards our clients have come to expect.
About the Role
This is not a standard consultancy position.
You will become one of the senior technical experts within the business, working closely alongside our Principal CQC Consultant to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.
You'll review complex applications, provide technical guidance, prepare clients for CQC interviews, answer regulatory queries and help maintain the high standards that underpin our reputation.
Over time, there will also be genuine opportunities to shape our delivery processes and play a key role as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Review CQC registration applications to ensure they meet our quality standards before submission.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to clients throughout the registration process.
- Deliver interview preparation sessions for Registered Managers and Nominated Individuals.
- Respond to complex technical and regulatory enquiries.
- Support our delivery team with quality assurance and best practice.
- Work closely with our Principal CQC Consultant on complex registrations and challenging cases.
- Provide technical cover during periods of annual leave.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our templates, systems, processes and knowledge base.
- Maintain an exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail across all work.
About You
You'll have significant experience working within or alongside the Care Quality Commission and possess an excellent understanding of the registration process.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in producing high-quality work and is comfortable making independent decisions.
You should be equally confident supporting clients, reviewing complex applications and providing practical regulatory advice.
Essential Requirements
- Significant experience supporting CQC registrations or working within the CQC regulatory environment.
- Strong knowledge of CQC registration processes and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulations confidently.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Highly Desirable
- Previous experience working within CQC Registration.
- Experience preparing providers for CQC registration interviews.
- Experience reviewing or assessing CQC registration applications.
- Experience supporting both healthcare and adult social care providers.
- Consultancy experience.
- Former CQC Registration Inspector or Registration Assessor.
Working With Us
You'll work alongside a highly experienced team that genuinely values quality over volume.
We are a fully remote business built around trust, accountability and doing exceptional work for our clients. We don't micromanage. We hire experienced professionals, give them ownership and expect them to take pride in the quality of what they deliver.
You'll work closely with our Principal CQC Consultant while enjoying the autonomy to make decisions, improve processes and have a real influence on how our delivery function evolves.
Benefits
- £58,000–£70,000 salary depending on experience.
- Fully remote working.
- 28 days' annual leave (including bank holidays).
- Monday to Friday working.
- Company pension.
- Opportunity for discretionary performance bonuses.
- Genuine opportunity to progress into a senior leadership role as the business grows.
