L/S Equity Analyst, Biotech

A leading global investment management firm is seeking a Long/Short Equity Analyst focused on Biotech to join its healthcare investment team in London.

The successful candidate will work closely with a Portfolio Manager covering the broader healthcare sector, with a specific focus on identifying and underwriting opportunities within biotech equities . This is an opportunity to join a high-performing investment platform with a fundamental, research-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct deep fundamental research on publicly traded biotech companies.
• Develop differentiated investment theses and generate long/short ideas.
• Analyze clinical data, drug pipelines, trial readouts, regulatory developments, market dynamics, and company valuations.
• Build financial models, perform company due diligence, and present investment recommendations.
• Work closely with the Portfolio Manager to support portfolio construction and risk management.

Ideal Background:

• Experience in Long/Short Equity investing is required
