We are recruiting a Senior Study Coordinator to play a key role in research study support which underpins the NIHR BioResource's operational model. The successful candidate will work directly with the Research Recruitment Manager and Principal Investigators and research teams for each study to ensure the recruitment and of volunteers to fulfil study recruitment requirements.

About The Job The role of the Senior Study Coordinator is to manage the set-up, initiation, conduct, monitoring, and archival of NIHR BioResource Stage 1 research studies. The post holder will manage a small team and undertake responsibilities for successfully coordinating and delivering Stage 1 study activity. They will be responsible for confirming appropriate permissions are in place to commence the research activity and ensuring adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) in all research activity whilst working closely with the study Principal Investigator, other Senior Study Coordinators, Research Nurses, and the NIHR BioResource Managers and wider NIHR BioResource team.

About You Ideally you will:

Be educated to degree level or have equivalent qualification or relevant experience relating to the post

Have had proven success within a research-led clinical setting focusing on the coordination of volunteers for research studies/clinical trials as well as protocol development and implementation

Possess knowledge and understanding of the principals of Good Clinical Practice and UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research

Have excellent IT skills, including a high level of competence with Microsoft Office

Demonstrate experience in line management, excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise workload across different groups of teams

What We Offer The University offers a wide range of benefits including flexible working, an attractive pension scheme (employer's contribution is 14.5%) and 41 days' annual holiday (inclusive of public holidays).

This appointment is full-time, 37 hours per week; part-time to 80% will be considered.

The post is available on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2028 in the first instance.

This appointment requires a Research Passport application.
