THE ROLE

⏳ Hours – 40 hours per week
📍 Location – Hybrid with 4 days in our Central London office
ESG Specialist Writer
We are looking for an ambitious junior ESG specialist to join our organisation on a full-time basis, as part of our talented content team at Curation ESG.
The role is hybrid working with 4 days required in our office on Brick Lane, UK. Closest tube stations include Moorgate (Northern, Circle, Hammersmith & City), Aldgate East (District, Hammersmith & City), Liverpool Street (Central, Circle, Hammersmith & City), Shoreditch (Overground).
This role is ideal for:
- Researchers or recent graduates passionate about sustainability
- Writers who can break down complex topics into engaging, digestible content
- Critical thinkers eager to track emerging ESG trends and AI’s impact on the field
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and produce clear, concise and engaging ESG content for a business audience
- Scan news, reports and academic sources for key trends in sustainability and finance
- Write primarily newsletter briefings, with opportunities for blog posts and feature articles
- Have a mind for business development. Use AI to improve efficiency, speed and innovation of your work day to day and stay ahead of the curve on new AI tools. Think of crossovers between Curation ESG and the rest of the business.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Essential skills
- Writing – Ability to craft compelling content from technical ESG topics
- Research & Analysis –
Strong ability to digest and summarise complex material
- Organisation – Deadline-driven and detail-oriented
- Communication –
Clear, professional and collaborative approach
- IT and AI Literacy – Familiarity with tools such as Word, HubSpot, Notion, Claude and Canva (or willingness to learn), with a particular emphasis on AI aptitude and interest
- Passion –
Genuine interest and demonstrable experience in environmentalism and sustainability
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Prior writing, research, or analysis experience – sustainability focus is a plus
- Working knowledge of key sustainability trends and ESG reporting
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant subject
- Ideal: 1 year’s work experience
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in a client facing role
- Interest in investing and finance (this is what the rest of the business does and a lot of our clients are in the financial sector)
