Data Engineering Lead

We're partnering with an innovative TechBio company that is transforming drug discovery through data, machine learning, and multi-omics research.

We're looking for a Data Engineering AD to lead the development of scalable scientific data platforms that power cutting-edge biological research. You'll manage a team of Data Engineers while partnering closely with scientists, bioinformaticians, and software engineers to deliver robust data infrastructure and pipelines.

What you'll do:

• Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers.
• Build and scale data platforms supporting large-scale scientific and omics datasets.
• Develop and optimise ETL pipelines and workflow orchestration frameworks.
• Drive data governance, quality, and FAIR data principles.
• Partner with cross-functional teams across biology, data science, and engineering.
• Deliver production-grade data infrastructure on cloud and HPC environments.

What we're looking for:

• Experience leading data engineering teams in biotech, genomics, healthcare, or scientific computing environments.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Nextflow, Dagster, or Airflow.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern data platform engineering practices.
• Background in bioinformatics, genomics, or large-scale scientific data management is highly desirable.
