As our Regional Residential Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of residential services. Working closely with our Registered Managers, you will build high-performing teams, drive compliance and quality standards, and support the continued growth and development of our services. Most importantly, you will ensure that the children and young people we support remain at the centre of everything we do.

Job Title: Regional Residential Manager

Location: Across JMR Residential Services, with travel required

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000, DOE

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full Time (37.5 hours)

You will be required to be flexible to accommodate the needs of the role, including evenings and weekends. You will form part of the on-call rota.

About You:

As our Regional Residential Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of residential services, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care. You will support, coach and develop Registered Managers and their teams, driving high standards of quality, compliance, operational performance and continuous improvement across the region. Acting as a visible leader and role model, you will promote a culture aligned with JMR Healthcare's values of Compassion, Excellence, Integrity and Courage.

You will have experience managing multiple residential services, supporting leaders to achieve positive outcomes, maintain regulatory compliance, and deliver outstanding care and support. Working closely with Registered Managers, you will provide guidance on quality assurance, safeguarding, workforce development, occupancy growth, budget management and service improvement initiatives. A confident communicator with strong leadership skills, you will be able to build effective relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, families and external professionals.

To be successful in this role, you will be highly organised and capable of managing competing priorities across multiple sites within a fast-paced environment. You will have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, be able to identify areas of risk and improvement, and know when to escalate concerns appropriately. Above all, you will be a proactive, values-driven leader who is passionate about developing high-performing teams and ensuring the people we support receive the highest quality of care and support in every service.

Requirements :

  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children’s Care (or equivalent qualification), or significant experience in a senior residential care management role.
  • Experience managing multiple residential services, or substantial experience as a Registered Manager with responsibility for complex services.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching and developing Registered Managers and care teams to achieve high standards of performance and quality.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding requirements, health and social care legislation, and best practice in children social care.
  • Experience driving quality improvement initiatives and supporting services to achieve positive regulatory and operational outcomes.
  • Experience managing service performance, occupancy levels, budgets and resource allocation across one or more services.
  • Experience overseeing investigations, safeguarding concerns, complaints, incidents and risk management processes.
  • Experience building positive relationships with local authorities, healthcare professionals, commissioners, families and other key stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust at all levels.
  • Experience using care management systems, quality assurance tools and performance data to support informed decision-making.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between services within the region.
  • Experience working within residential care, supported living, learning disability, mental health or other regulated care services is essential.
