Marketing Manager
Ocushield®
Job Description
B2B Marketing Manager
Location: Remote, UK-based (must be eligible to work in the UK). Monthly team meetings in London if needed, plus occasional events.
Hours: Full-time
Team you’ll lead: our Marketing Executive (email & content), Social Media Manager (social, influencer & UGC) and paid-media agency
About Ocushield
Ocushield is a UK-based, optometrist-founded eye-health company empowering workplaces with healthier eyes. Our seamless, scalable solutions for workplace eye care, compliance and data security are trusted by 1.9 million policyholders at organisations including Medicash, Benenden Health, AIG Insurance and Universal Music Group.
On the B2B side we deliver three integrated services: Online Eye Screening (quick, digital vision checks), Managed Eye Care Vouchers (DSE compliance made simple, reducing HR admin) and Privacy Filters for Data Security (enterprise-grade, high-transparency filters with FDA & MHRA-registered blue-light protection to prevent data leaks and ensure regulatory compliance).
We hold Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications, an accredited Information Security Management System, and are a recipient of the King’s Award for Enterprise (International Trade) and MSDUK Certified Supplier status. We are also a UK MDR-registered medical device manufacturer.
This role is central to Ocushield’s next phase. The consumer side of the business is already established. The B2B / corporate side is where the next few years of growth sit, and this is the role that owns making that happen.
What Success Looks Like In Year One
You’ve built a B2B marketing plan the leadership team actually uses week to week, and two distinct pipelines are materially bigger and better qualified than they are today: the digital eyecare-management platform (our primary focus and long-term valuation driver) and corporate demand for our physical products, in particular privacy filters. Success in year one is measured against both. HR directors, wellbeing leads, procurement teams and DSE assessors (ICP for privacy filters, is CISO, Head of Procurement/IT) can find us, trust us, and understand what we do inside a 30-second scan. Our HR-summit and employee-benefits event presence converts into measured pipeline and closed revenue, not just booth conversations. the shared internal marketing team (Marketing Executive, Social Media Manager and Multimedia Designer, shared with the B2C side) are producing sharper B2B assets under your direction without losing B2C velocity, and reseller and partner marketing is running to a documented playbook rather than ad-hoc.
What You’ll Own
B2B marketing strategy and roadmap - own the annual plan across both revenue streams: primarily the digital eyecare-management platform, plus corporate pipeline for our physical products (privacy filters and screen protectors); accountable for what’s in and what’s out.
Pipeline and demand generation - content, SEO, paid, ABM, partnerships, referrals and events, feeding two pipelines: (1) enterprise digital-service leads (online eye screening / eyecare management) and (2) corporate demand for our physical products, especially privacy filters. Lead quality loops with the CEO and Customer Success.
HR, wellbeing and employee-benefits channels - own the go-to-market with reseller and channel partners (Medicash, Benenden, Posturite, Lenovo and future partners); build a repeatable partner-marketing playbook.
Content and thought leadership - white papers, original research, webinars, video, case studies and guest content aimed at HR directors, wellbeing leads, DSE assessors and reseller partners.
Events - own our presence via guerrilla marketing at HR Summit, Employee Benefits & Rewards Forum and similar. Brief, book, staff, follow up and measure them end-to-end.
Lifecycle, retention and expansion - onboarding, renewal and expansion programmes with reseller partners and direct corporate accounts, in partnership with Customer Success.
Performance reporting - tracking pipeline coverage, conversion, CAC and payback by channel and by partner, separately reported for the two revenue streams (digital eyecare-management and physical products / privacy filters) against company-wide metrics.
Matrixed team direction - day-to-day briefing and quality control of our shared internal marketing team (Marketing Executive, Social Media Manager, Multimedia Designer) for their B2B outputs, plus any freelance or agency partners you bring in.
The role
Ocushield’s B2B business is at an inflection point. We already have a differentiated digital eyecare-management platform, a strong physical-product line (privacy filters and blue-light screen protectors) with enterprise traction, a growing base of corporate clients, UK MDR registration and a strong optometrist-founder story. What we don’t yet have is a marketer who owns the commercial B2B agenda end to end across both those revenue streams. That’s the gap this role fills.
This is deliberately pitched as a step-up role. We’re not looking for a fully-formed senior with a 10-year B2B track record; we’re looking for a marketer who’s been running a channel, segment or product line for a couple of years, has proven they can deliver commercial outcomes, and is now ready to take the leap into owning a whole B2B function. You’ll get the runway to do that, with a Fractional CMO and a founder-CEO backing you. Your primary focus will be the digital side (that’s where the enterprise value sits), but you will also be measured on the pipeline you generate for our physical products, mainly privacy filters.
You’ll work alongside our Fractional CMO (who sets overall marketing direction), the CEO (who owns our biggest accounts), and our internal creative team (currently shared with the B2C side). This is not a campaign-manager role; you’re expected to think commercially, hold your own with senior stakeholders, and take real accountability for pipeline and revenue outcomes, not activity metrics.
Essential Elements For This Role
Has driven measurable commercial outcomes for a B2B business, product line, segment or channel (pipeline, conversion, or retention) and is ready to step up to own it all.
Comfortable across the full funnel: acquisition through to expansion. ABM, partner marketing, content, events and lifecycle should all feel like tools you can pick up and run with.
Some exposure to B2B corporate-buyer audiences, ideally HR, workplace-wellbeing, employee-benefit, occupational-health or health-tech, or a credible transferable adjacent.
Has worked closely with Sales / commercial and Customer Success as commercial partners, not internal clients.
Comfortable operating in a matrix; most of the marketing team you’ll rely on doesn’t formally report to you. Gets things done through influence as much as authority.
Confident with numbers; can build a pipeline forecast, defend a CAC, or explain a channel performance shift without waiting for someone else to do it.
Excellent written and verbal communication; can turn clinical and medical-device claims into clean commercial copy without losing accuracy.
Impeccable attention to detail; we operate in a regulated space (MDR-registered medical device manufacturer) and compliance is not optional.
Hungry, ambitious, and thrives in a remote-first, small-team environment with high autonomy and low process overhead.
UK-based and eligible to work in the UK.
Nice to have
These will help you stand out from the pack:
Experience marketing a medical device, health-tech or clinically-backed product.
Experience with employee-benefit platforms, occupational-health providers or HR-tech channels.
Familiarity with HubSpot, GA4, LinkedIn Ads and paid-search reporting.
Startup or scaleup experience, especially at the point a B2C-heavy business builds out its B2B motion.
Comfort briefing video and creative teams; you know what “good” looks like in a case study, an explainer video and an event booth.
Existing network of HR, wellbeing or people-team decision-makers.
Why work at Ocushield?
Feel the impact, we are helping people see better and in turn live better. The impact we make can be seen via our reviews across Trustpilot and wider.
Remote-first working, UK-based. Occasional in-person team days and events (last year we went to Phillipines!).
Direct exposure to a founder-led, MDR-registered health-tech company at a genuinely interesting inflection point; the work will visibly move the numbers.
Culture fit
What makes Ocushield folk collaborative, adaptable, and eager to grow?
Thrives in a small, fast-moving environment and takes real ownership of outcomes.
Adaptable and open to taking on responsibilities beyond the defined role as needed.
Comfortable disagreeing with the CEO or CMO in a meeting and moving on constructively when a decision is made.
Curious about the market; you’ll read the HR-tech trade press before we ask.
Believes marketing exists to move commercial numbers, not to produce assets.
