Marketing Manager
Advocate Group
Job Description
Marketing Manager | Iconic Consumer Brand
London | Competitive package
What if your next marketing role gave you the opportunity to take an already established, nationally recognised brand and help turn it into the clear leader in its category?
The Advocate Group are partnering with a major consumer business on the hire of a Marketing Manager for one of its most exciting brands.
Already operating at significant scale, the brand is entering a new phase of growth with substantial investment, strong senior backing and a clear ambition to become increasingly relevant within health, wellness and everyday performance.
This is an opportunity to shape where an established brand goes next.
You will take responsibility for the brand strategy, help build and scale newer propositions, strengthen the core portfolio and create marketing that drives both cultural relevance and commercial growth.
Importantly, this is also a genuinely hands-on Marketing Manager position.
You will have a Brand Manager reporting into you, but you will be working within a lean, entrepreneurial marketing team. You will need to be equally comfortable setting the direction, influencing senior stakeholders and agencies, and getting into the detail yourself to make things happen.
The opportunity
You will have the scope to:
- Shape the medium and long-term growth strategy for a major consumer brand
- Build and scale propositions within the growing health and wellness space
- Develop distinctive, culturally relevant brand communications
- Influence portfolio strategy and future innovation
- Turn consumer insight into meaningful commercial opportunities
- Drive penetration, relevance and sustainable growth
- Work closely with senior marketing and commercial leadership
- Lead and develop a Brand Manager
- Work with agency partners while bringing your own ideas and creative judgement to the table
There is significant investment behind the brand and genuine appetite from the leadership team to push it further.
That creates an unusual combination: the scale and resources of an established consumer business, but with the freedom and visibility normally associated with a much smaller challenger brand.
Who we are looking for
We are deliberately keeping the background broad.
You could currently be working in food, drinks, beauty, personal care, health, wellness, alcohol or another strong consumer-led category; what is more important is the type of marketer you are.
You will ideally bring:
- Strong brand-building experience within a consumer environment
- Evidence of growing brands or propositions beyond the initial launch
- Excellent commercial understanding and confidence interpreting brand performance
- Genuine creative instinct and an interest in what makes brands culturally relevant
- The confidence to contribute to creative thinking rather than simply manage an agency process
- Experience operating cross-functionally and influencing senior stakeholders
- A hands-on approach and willingness to stay close to execution
- The ability to operate with pace when everything is not perfectly defined
- Strong marketing foundations combined with an entrepreneurial mindset
You may have developed your career within a large, highly regarded consumer organisation and now want greater ownership.
Equally, you may already have experience combining strong marketing discipline with the pace and autonomy of a challenger or entrepreneurial business.
What matters is that you are a brand builder , not simply a custodian.
Someone who wants to understand what is driving performance, identify the next growth opportunity, create brilliant work and then stay close enough to the business to see that work translate into results.
Why consider it?
You will be joining at a point where there is investment, leadership support, a strong existing platform and significant headroom for growth.
For the right marketer, there is an opportunity to make a very visible impact and build something they can genuinely point to as a defining piece of work in their career.
If the role and responsibilities sound like a good fit for you, then I'd love to speak with you.
