Company Description We are looking to recruit a full time practice manager at Grey Gable surgery.

Small friendly practice with a list size of aporoximately 6200.

Looking for a committed, effecient and capable team player.

Role Description The GP Practice Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Inkberrow, responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the practice. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing administrative operations, managing staff rotas and performance, and ensuring high-quality patient service at reception and across the practice. The role involves managing finances and budgets, supporting compliance with NHS policies and regulatory standards, and maintaining robust processes for appointments, referrals, and record-keeping. The Practice Manager will work closely with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support service delivery, handle operational issues, and contribute to practice development and improvement initiatives. The role also includes managing external relationships with NHS bodies, suppliers, and local health partners, and handling patient feedback and complaints in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Strong practice management or healthcare administration skills, including experience coordinating operations, staff, and resources within a clinical or similar setting.
  • Demonstrated ability in people management, including staff supervision, performance review, conflict resolution, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • Competence in financial and resource management, including budgeting, reporting, and understanding of basic accounting and cost control principles.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple workflows, and maintain attention to detail in a busy environment.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Comfort with IT systems and digital tools, including practice management software, electronic patient records, and standard office applications.
  • Knowledge of or strong interest in NHS structures, primary care processes, and regulatory requirements; experience in a GP or healthcare setting is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant qualification in management, healthcare administration, or a related field (e.g., diploma or degree), or equivalent experience in a supervisory or management role.
