Job Description

Senior Data Science Trainer/Instructor

As a Data Science practitioner turned educator (or vice versa!), you'll design and deliver training spanning the breadth of applied data science - statistical analysis, machine learning, visualisation, and applied AI.

You'll work closely with clients to understand their analytical capability gaps and translate them into practical learning programmes that connect DS fundamentals with real business outcomes.

Role Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging training across core Data Science topics — statistical modelling, machine learning, data analysis, and visualisation — for technical and analytical audiences, virtually and in-person
  • Lead end-to-end design of tailored DS learning programmes with clear learning objectives and high-quality courseware
  • Engage consultatively with clients to understand their data maturity and capability gaps, and advise on appropriate learning solutions
  • Act as a Data Science SME across internal and client-facing programme work
  • Proactively maintain certifications and stay current with emerging DS tools, techniques and best practices

What you'll bring

  • Strong Python skills, with solid grounding across the core DS workflow: data wrangling, exploratory analysis, statistical modelling, and communicating insight
  • Comfortable working across the DS spectrum rather than deep in a single specialism; exposure to applied or generative AI is a plus
  • Working knowledge of cloud data and analytics tooling (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Training Delivery or Curriculum Deisgn experience (Trainer / Instructor / Lecturer / Tutor / Teacher / Coach)
  • Databricks, Snowflake or Data Lake experience would be a plus

This role sits within a broader Data & AI training team - you'll have scope to get involved in GenAI, ML Engineering or AI Engineering delivery too, both to broaden your own skillset and to support wider client programmes.

This is a full-time, remote working position

Salary is £65,000 - £75,000 (negotiable)
